The work at home advantage provides you more time with your family. Your kids are not in daycare so you get to spend the days with them. You get to eat meals with your family and be there to tuck the kids in bed at night and be there when they wake up in the mornings. Some people spend their lives working and missing their entire child’s life growing up. They miss waking up with them and putting them to sleep because of excessive long hours at work. In addition, commute time to work is extensive and if it is snowing it will extend the commute even longer.

The work at home advantage has flexibility. As long as you remain committed to your work and you remain productive, your job can be flexible. Your hours are more flexible. You can work on the weekends and at night. You can even make more money by working more hours if you choose to do so. All of the time wasted while commuting and getting ready for work, you don’t need to anymore. You can work during that wasted time. If you have appointments during the work week, you can go to your appointments and you don’t have to worry about the time missed or losing pay because you can work at night to make up for the time missed in the daytime.
